How would you feel if someone called you a "sweet pea"?
We would feel lighter than air, which as you know, there is none on the moon, so you can imagine just how very-highly happy we would be.
Reply:It's a little corny, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't like it.
Reply:Buttercup, sweet pea... I like all your knicknames hun. I have to agree with answer 1, it sounds a little country. but if you didnt use an accent when you said it, it would be fine.

What ever happened to the baabies that played "Sweet Pea" in the Robin Williams movie Popeye?
He is a teacher at a Missouri high school and has no clear recollection of his only acting role.
How do you say "Have a wonderful Christmas, sweet pea!" in portuguese?
The best translation is this one....
Tenha um Natal maravilhoso, fofinha!!!!
fofinha is best word for sweet pea
How do you say "Have a wonderful Christmas, sweet pea!" in portuguese?
The 3rd one (martinha) is right, according to my boyfriend, who is also Portuguese.
Reply:I almost agree with ladysorrow in the translation:
Tenha um Natal maravilhoso, fofinha!...but "fofinha" actually is not the best word to say someone. Fofinha has lots of meanings and for an adult person the meaning would be little chubby specially if the person is a little chubby.
I would say: Tenha um Natal maravilhoso, docinho (sweet).
Reply:Feliz Natal is the Xtmas greeting we used
Happy Xtmas it means
Reply:Tem um feliz Natal querida!
ps: don't use translators... most of the times they don't translate that well....

What is the life span of the plant "Sweet Pea"?
The sweet pea is an annual, one season.
Sweet Pea (Lathyrus odoratus) is a flowering plant in the genus Lathyrus in the family Fabaceae (legumes), native to the eastern Mediterranean region from Sicily east to Crete.
It is an annual climbing plant, growing to a height of 1-2 m where suitable support is available. The leaves are pinnate with two leaflets and a terminal tendril, this twining round supporting plants to help it climb. The flowers are purple, 2-3.5 cm broad, in the wild plant, larger and very variable in colour in the many cultivars. Unlike most peas, the seeds of the sweet pea are poisonous, and should not be eaten.
Sweet peas have been cultivated since the 17th century and a vast number of cultivars are commercially available. They are often grown by gardeners for their bright colours and the sweet fragrance that gives them their name.
What is the life span of the plant "Sweet Pea"?
only one season...sorry.
Reply:There are two types but I'm sorry I can't provide you with the names, other than that one is an annual and one is a very hardy perennial type. The latter are often seen growing along roadsides and can actually be kind of invasive...if it's the perennial type you want, you might be able to find it in an online seed catalogue.

Flower growers aren't we supposed to treat sweet pea seeds before planting ?
I know it helps to soak them but it seems we are supposed to treat them too .
Flower growers aren't we supposed to treat sweet pea seeds before planting ?
There is nothing to treat them for. The only reason for soaking is to speed up germination.

Looking for names for my sweetheart... sweet pea, angel, sugar lips... I know it's disgusting...?
Lol, it's not disgusting...
But, don't force a name on him that doesn't match him... Close your eyes, and think of the first thing that comes to mind... Or, maybe you can name him after a quirk of his...
Example:
My friend's bf always ate hot tamalies (the candy), this, he was her hot lil tamalie...
If all else fails, just call him "babe," 'tis sexy...
Looking for names for my sweetheart... sweet pea, angel, sugar lips... I know it's disgusting...?
You'll need to come up with something yourself.

How is the elegance mixed colors sweet pea used in out culture and in other cultures?
This is for a school project and we would like answers as soon as possible Thank You for your participation!!!!!!!!!
How is the elegance mixed colors sweet pea used in out culture and in other cultures?
A sweet pea is a plant and elegance is a type of sweetpea that comes in mixed colors. I can't imagine how this relates to a culture, unless to say that the plant cannot grow well in all climates.....\
What is the question?

What do i do with my sweet pea pods? I would like to replant, when and how is the best time?
This is my first year at gardening and i really enjoy it, but i know very little about the seeds and maintaining for the next summer
What do i do with my sweet pea pods? I would like to replant, when and how is the best time?
Wait until the plant begins to sag a bit before removing the pods. Then take the seeds from the pods and store them in a dark and dry place. You can either sow them in December indoors in compost for an early planting out, or do the same in March next year when you can also sow them directly to where you want them to grow.
Next year, when they bloom and the flower head begins to die off, pinch it off. Don't allow the seed pod to form. This will encourage further blooming throughout the summer months and you should end up with lots of flowers blooming over and over again. As the summer wears on, then you can allow the plant to go to seed and gather in the pods.
Once you have allowed them to go to seed, you will not see any more flowers on them and the whole plant will eventually die off.
One last point with Sweet Pea's, if you soak the seed for a few hours before you plant them out it will soften the shell, just gently nick the shell with a sharp knife. This will help to speed up the growing process. It's not essential but it will grow quicker and flower earlier.
Reply:i usually plant peas twice a year they will grow when its cool so here in pa i plant them in late april and again in late august.
Reply:take the pod from the plant and store away next spring (march) take the seed from the pod and re plant, you'll need a stake for support, compose
Reply:put them in an enverlope and store them in a dry dark place untill next spring (march), then sow them in some compost.
Reply:Don't bother. Buy new seeds. Sweet peas are hybridized so the seeds they produce won't produce plants with great blooms. They will be small, probably all the same colors (pale lilac as I recall) and will be an utter waste of time. I let them go to seed one time with dismal results. By the way, don't eat sweet pea pods. They are poisonous.
Reply:Depending on where you live, you sure can save your seeds!!
Living here in Canada, I save all my seeds. If you have frost in your area, then plant them in the ground right after the frost. Even better...If the are the perennial type put them in right now. Make sure that when you remove the seeds from the pods that they are brown and hard. If not they haven't matured enough.
Good Luck with your new gardening experience...i started 17 yrs ago and now I work in a Garden Centre!!!How's that for being addicted!!!LOL
Reply:Buy new top quality seed in what ever colours you like (not from your present plants as you may find you get different or poor colours). Plant the seed in compost now so that they germinate and grow into small plants during the autumn. When established, pinch out the central growth to encourage more branching. They will develop a good root system ready for next year. Over-winter the plants in a frost free place. When you plant out next Spring (after the last frost) you plants will be very strong and make wonderful progress and give lots of blossom - especially if you regularly give them fertiliser such as Prosphorgen or similar plant food. Look out for the highly perfumed varieties - a treat for the nose as well as the eyes! Good luck.
Reply:Sweetpea is a very hardy plant in my area (CT), and it transplants well. If by replanting you mean transplanting, do it in late Aug./early Sept. If you are trying to make new plants from the pods, let the pods mature and then use them in the area you want when they are ready, like nature would have done it. Good luck. Remember a stake or trellis!

I have just been given some sweet pea seeds (flower). Could someone tell me how to go about growing these?
when do i need to plant them indoors (in peat pots)?
When do i transplant them outside?
I have just been given some sweet pea seeds (flower). Could someone tell me how to go about growing these?
I would just wait til spring and plant them directly outside. They grow quite large so if you have a trelice grow them there! I grew them last spring at work, beautiful flowers, they grow really quickly outside so I would just wait itl about late feb march time!!
Reply:just transplant them into the earth outside your home or in backgard.and start giving water to it and it will start growing itself.
just do a little bit of care of it
Reply:You can plant them outside directly. We do.
Just make sure you plant them after the frost season is over and the ground is not frozen, may have to cover them if unexpected frost is predicted by local wheatherman.
Inside you may want to plant in February or even in January. About two months before you can put them out.
In my area frost can happen even in july.
Reply:Sow your sweet pea sow one seeds indoors any time now.Depending on the size of the pot, plant one in a mini-pot two or more around the edge of larger pots.
Keep the compost slightly moist, without overwatering and the pots in a light position.Sweet peas need to be grown on in reasonably cool conditions and the resulting plants can be planted out around Easter, depending on the locality and the weather at the time.
Don't plant out sweetpeas during frosty, snowy weather or while the soil outside is very wet.
While planting out, provide some twiggy supports (Long prunings from shrums, hazel twigs, privet clippings) sweetpeas will attach by their tendrils and should give you a good show,
Reply:Best time to sow is Autumn Uk once they germinate..outside in cold frame, plant out on well manured ground in spring.Sow in deep pots as they need a strong root system. To get them tall later...nip out the flower buds and tendrils until they reach the desired height.
Reply:soke them over night in water and set them now in doors and plant them out when the threat of frost has gone

What are the uses of the sweet pea plant?
Sweet peas, as in the flower as opposed to the vegetable, are generally grown for the fragrance as well as the ability to produce a temporary privacy screen if provide with something to climb ie a trellis, fence etc. They can also be grown as a sprawling ground cover for a bare area if the are not given something to climb and are allowed to *flop* on the ground.

aaron pryor would knockout sweat pea in 8 rounds.... Pryor beat Alexis Arguello when he was the supreme force in the divison...and in the rematch he beat him worse...Whitaker never had a really big fight in which he won...and people can say what they want that he was robbed but if he were a true champion there wouldnt be any questions......and if Pryor gets the water that his corner mixed again watchout

I'm not sure about sweet pea, but I do know that it is proven that men are attracted to the scent of cinnamon and vanilla. Bath and Body Works has a great line called Tutti Dolce that men just love! You can bet if it smells like food, a guy will be attracted to it.

Your take on pernell whitaker (sweet pea) ?
One of the very best of his era, and one of the greatest defensive counter punchers of all time. I rank Pea right up there with Willie Pep as an all time Great.
Your take on pernell whitaker (sweet pea) ?
he was great fighter. but he was too defensive. if he would have just attacked chavez more he would have gotten the decision. never would have beaten duran leonard or pryor.
Reply:He was a great boxer - Hall Of Famer. He was one of the best defensive fighters ever! he could also bring it on offense.
Reply:He ran against Chavez. He could not stand Chavez's pressure, so he ran and ran, stop, sneaked a punch and ran and ran, stop, threw a punch and ran and ran. Pernell avoided Meldrick's mistake when Mel fought Chavez
Reply:Great defensive fighter, but definitely below Chavez. Many people fail to realize Chavez was way past his prime when he fought Sweet Pea (his 1st defeat against class C journeyman Frankie Randall came a few monthsd after this fight). A prime Chavez would have destroyed Whitaker à la Meldrick Taylor (brain damage, broken ribs, peeing blood for one week...).
Reply:One of the greatest if not THE greatest left handed technician EVER! Any lefties you see in boxing today that are technically sound. I guarantee you, As a kid they at one time or another studied Pernell's fights and took a few things from them. I know I did. Peace!
Reply:One of the all time best in his division. Excellent defensive fighter, took on all comers. He dropped Oscar, and in my opinion got robbed in the decision. I also had chance to meet him at a fight in Las Vegas at Cesar's Palace, down to earth and real cordial.
Reply:Great fighter, didn't have the best chin (which is the case with a lot of good to great defensive fighters). Chavez was out of his league once he left 140 anyway.
Reply:Heavy D is way off. He stood right in front of Chavez like a matador, juked him out of his socks with slick upper body movement and counterpunched him to death. Then he would dance away a few feet, stop and wait for another ineffective Chavez charge. It was a masterful performance and anyone who says otherwise is either a sour grapes Chavez booster or a Whitaker detractor. After the fight Julio's face looked like it had been rattailed with a wet towel for 12 rounds. If you gave Chavez more than 4 rounds you are more charitable than Mother Theresa.
Whitaker was one of the top 10 greatest lightweights of all time and only Duran had a chance of beating him in my opinion.
Reply:My favorite fighter of all time and clearly one of the greatest to ever do it. In terms of skill, I rank him up there with Ray Robinson and Roy Jones Jr. as the most skilled ever, in terms of accomplishments and resume I still have around top 10. Most skilled defensive fighter ever, excellent counter-puncher, evasiveness and slickness on a whole nother level.
People are impressed by Mayweather today, this guy had nothing on Sweet Pea. Sweet Pea threw way more punches and stood in front of you and outboxed you and made you miss, not like Floyd. People who call Whitaker a runner have simply re-hased what others have said without actually watching the man fight. One of the very best to ever do it. IMO the best LW ever, right there with Duran.
Reply:Greatest southpaw of all time.
Reply:A great southpaw defensive fighter. Ask De La Hoya, Chavez, Nelson, and others he encountered. As a lightweight he dominated that division from 1988 when he won his belt to 1992 when he already unified the division before moving up in class. I got to let Heavy D know something did you watch or study the Whitaker vs Chavez fight in 1994? He clearly dominated that fight all rounds. Lou Duva was p'd off that he lost, so was he, and also to point out if you even can catch Ringside Documentary on Pernell Whitaker he pointed out that fans of Chavez even told him he was robbed. Now to hear that from people who did not care for you then like you after the fight come on now........ Also they fought in El Paso TX which is close to Mexico. Think back to 1988 when Sweet Peat fought Ramirez in France he was robbed then and he clearly dominated that fight. I think where he was during some of his biggest fights played a difference in him winning and losing. His record should be 43-2-0 that is my opinion....

I am looking for a sweet pea casserole recipe.?
I know it has a white type sauce I think its made with Mayo but I'm not sure. I also know it has boiled eggs cut up in it. If anyone has this recipe, I would be extremely grateful. Thanks.
I am looking for a sweet pea casserole recipe.?
There is what's called a green pea salad, which is pretty simple:
GREEN PEA AND EGG SALAD
Mix 1/2 cup each chopped onion, celery and mayonnaise, 3 tablespoons mustard, salt and pepper to taste. Stir in 8 chopped hard cooked eggs and a 10 ounce package of frozen peas, cooked. Arrange on lettuce; garnish with tomatoes.
Does that sound close?

Do you have to soak sweet pea seeds before planting?
No, it does make them sprout a little faster if you do, but you also have to watch them closer. If you soak them and they begin to sprout, then they dry out they will die. I find it much better to plant them directly.
Do you have to soak sweet pea seeds before planting?
No, But some times it helps.
Reply:no,makes no difference.plant in normal way.
Reply:no ,but it takes longer for them to sprout
Reply:Yes.soak in warm water.I soak mine for 24 hours and they have never let me down yet !!
Reply:. They can rot if you soak them, try sanding instead.
Reply:DON'T ASK US!!
Plant twenty without soaking, twenty soaked, and twenty with the seed case (testa) chipped. Then you'll know the answer! Has anyone here tried it?

Reply:Yes and my Dad used to file a fine slit in the outer shell.
Reply:Fairly certain I watched Alan Titchmarsh on Gardeners World - and he said it was a myth. I never do.
Reply:No but it helps. I always soak mine overnight in warm water then plant them out.
Reply:Either soak them overnight or nick the hard outer skin with a sharp blade. If you dont it just takes slightly longer to germinate.
Reply:yes you do overnight
Reply:yes.
put on a lid or plastic container and put in you hot press watch them for some are covered with a crust and this is just to protect the seed then they have a little green shoot coming out of the package plant.
Reply:You don't have to but they will germinate faster, just dont leave them in the water more than 2 days or they will rot,you can do the same with corn
Reply:If you have had problems with germination try giving them a helping hand. This is often called scarifying, soaking or chipping. The surface of the seed has a hard coating that stops moisture being absorbed and this can stop or reduce the germination of the seed. All that is needed to help this is for the outer surface to be scratched, rubbed or chipped away to allow the water to pass through. Use a small piece of emery paper to rub over the seed coat; or very carefully, using a sharp knife, chip away as mall piece of the seed coat at the opposite or furthest end of the seed to the "eye". Soak the sweet pea seeds in a bowl of hand hot water for 2 hours and then sow immediately.
Reply:The darker coloured seeds are usually much harder than the others. It is normally advisable to soak these for a day. If you sow the seeds in the autumn then i would definitely advise this.
Another tip for the harder seeds is to scuff them slightly with fine sandpaper, this also helps them germinate.

How do I grow sweet pea flowers?I think they need a trellis? Can it be a small one to grow in a pot?
yes, use a dwarf pea, or how big is pot? you could use bamboo poles (come in all sizes) in a wig-wam shape or a few upright with netting or string criss-crossed. Keep cutting flowers, smell lovely in house, encourages blooms and keeps down overgrowth.
How do I grow sweet pea flowers?I think they need a trellis? Can it be a small one to grow in a pot?
there are sweet peas and dwarf sweet peas, but even the darf need some kind of trellis to climb on, the standard sweep pea can grow to 15 high if properly nurtured. you can grow the dwarf in containers quite easily.
Reply:they need cool weather so plant in the fall
Reply:Really agree with hipichick-- they have their own season-- which is much earlier than I thought --at the first sign of heat they collapse. -- fall planting might be best- so they can come up when the ground/pot temperature is right. Another annual with flowers that climb much higher is hycinth bean-- fast grower-- up to 15 foot in one season- lots of seeds made to keep for next year or give away to friends-- they do have a fragrance not as strong as sweet pea.
good luck
Reply:sweet peas generally need a trellis unless yours are a special compact or bush variety.
if using a container, make sure its nice and deep, they like that.

Why won't my sweet pea seeds grow??
Two packs so far soaked overnight, planted in sunny spot, soil is pretty good it's in 70's here northern Ca. Planted them one at a time why why why???
Why won't my sweet pea seeds grow??
how long ago? they can take 2 weeks
how deep? no deeper that 1 inch
how were the seeds stored/ old seeds?
Reply:well first
1.did u plant it in fertilizied soil
2.does it have sun light
3.does it have enough water(dont put to much water)
4.they are sometimes planted in the ground so maybe u dont see your sweet peas growing they probably are growing underground so you have to pull it out
Reply:how long have the seeds been in the ground? check for animal foot prints! because squeals will dig up the seeds and most likely eat them!! other wize wait for a bit more, keep the soil moist, but not soaked, and it should come up soon.......... i have never had that happen in my life with peas!!! they all came up fast and grew pretty quick! hope this helps!
Reply:Try using an inoculate before you plant the seeds. Sometimes the pea will not germinate without it. You wet the pea seeds and cover them with the inoculate before planting.

Why do my sweet pea leaves look as if they are covered in a white powder?
The powder will not brush off tho'.
Why do my sweet pea leaves look as if they are covered in a white powder?
Mine did that last year (its an ever lasting sweet pea). I cut it back hard and this year it was fine. I think it was a type of mildew.
P.S Bet you get lots of answers mentioning drugs!
Reply:Yes, what you have is powdery mildew. Some plants, like Phlox, are more prone to it than others. It is caused by high humidity and poor ventilation, so depending on the growing conditions, it may not be as bad next year.
Here's a cheap way to treat it: Mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda to a gallon of water and spray the foliage. Repeat after a rain. Baking soda changes the pH of the leaves, but don't tell anyone I told you this, because the FDA has not approved baking soda for this purpose. I'm not joking!
Oh, and gather up and destroy the dead leaves on the ground so the spores will not re-infect the plants.
Reply:Sounds like powdery mildew to me. It can be treated with a fungicide but is hard to get rid of. I have a lot of the stuff with all the rain this year. Don't compose the cuttings.
Reply:may be fungus
Reply:It sounds like a fungus. Try diluting dish soap and water in a spray bottle and using it like a bug spray. Dont worry it wont hurt the plants. If that doesnt work you can always go to Home Depot or Lowes and ask someone in the garden section.
Reply:Using a Fungicide, and having really good Ventilation, will avoid Powdery and Downy Mildew.
Reply:Could be mil drew
Reply:because you have pwdery mildew...Put water in a squirt bottle with a little dish soap. and spritz them at nite alow to dry before morning.. or they will fry good luck
Reply:Just to keep Alice Happy........ it's Drugs. your plant is on drugs.
Reply:It's mould. Any copper complex fungicide such as Bordeau mixture will kill it.
BTW it's called Brodeau mixture because it was invented to kill mould on grapes growing in the Bordeau region of France.

Reply:it sounds as if it might be mildew
Reply:It is a powdery mildew that is common for sweet peas. Here's a link to some more information.
Reply:this is a fungus pick off affected leaves and burn them if the plants are badly affected then destroy the whole plant
grow new plants from fresh seed and avoid the area they were in this year
a lot of plants have been affected this year with the mild damp weather we have been having

Can the flower, sweet pea be grown in upstate NY and come back annually?
if so please tell me the conditons it needs to stay alive like the hours of sunlight and so on please and thank you.
Can the flower, sweet pea be grown in upstate NY and come back annually?
While annual sweet peas do self sow, there actually is a perennial sweet pea which does come back every year. My has been in the garden for 5 years now and gets more robust every year. They like full sun, a trellis or fence to climb and reasonably moist soil. They can grow in Nova Scotia (where my plant came from out of a relative's garden) so you shouldn't have a problem with upstate NY.
Reply:Sweet peas will never "come back". They're an annual. If you're lucky, they'll reseed. They need a long growing season, support, and full sun.
Reply:yes it can be grown in upstate ny, they are an easy plant to grow. they prefer the sun, keep soil moist. you can buy a package of sweet pea seeds and start them inside 4-6 weeks before you can plant them out side. after the last heavy frost of the year (mid may- june)plant in ground.just keep moist and enjoy the sweet fragrance of them

What does a sweet pea body lotion smell like?
does the lotion and spray smell good? I'm going to order it online because I am not currently in the US so I can't yet decide if I like its fragnance or not. I'll get either the one from Bath and Body Works or The secrets of Paradise. Anyone tried any of them? Does it have a strong scent?
What does a sweet pea body lotion smell like?
It smells wonderful! It has a sweet, floral scent with violets and sweet peas at first and then this berry fragrance. I use it all the time, and if you only use a little of the lotion, it won't be overpowering.
The website below can give you the idea if you haven't seen it yet.

Average inches a sweet pea plant grows per week?
The growth of sweet pea plants would depend on a number of things: sunlight, water availability, nutrients, pH of soil, nutrient content of soil, etc. Additionally different types or varieties of sweet pea plant have different growing rates.
the only way to ascertain for sure is to do a simple test yourself.

What is sweet pea doing showing at fashion week?
I just saw on bravotv.com that she showed... anyone know the story behind this? or did i just not realize they let everyone show anyway%26gt;
What is sweet pea doing showing at fashion week?
Yes this season (like seasons before) they did a few decoy lines as well. This keeps the public from finding out the final three in Project Runway each season! I hope that Chris makes it over Rami! Im so sick of seeing the same thing from him!
Reply:Sweet P was used as a decoy..
Reply:She was a decoy - the producers had the final five contestants show at fashion week so we would not know who the three finalists were. I'm curious to see who the third finalist will be, Chris or Rami.

Question about sweet pea seeds...???
Should I pick the pods now while they are still green and then lay out the seeds to dry...?
or
Is it best to wait until the pods are dry and then pick them from the vines...?
or
Are both ways okay?
Question about sweet pea seeds...???
No. If you are going to save seeds from your vines, it is best to wait until they are dry and papery and then put them in a paper bag and hang them with a clothespin in a warm and dry place. When they burst open in the bag, you can collect them and put them in a cool and dry place until ready to plant.

I call all my kids that, as well as peanut.
Reply:Of course it does, Pumkinhead.
Reply:yes... however if used with sarcasm and towards a male from another male...both straight... then it could be taken as an offensive term...
for example... 2 guys are at work...both rednecks... Guy "A" ...we will call him Bob... says to Guy "B" (we will call him Jim) "hay Jim, go git me that thar knaaf off that shelf its a too hord for may to git, think i mighta ated me some bad bikits and gravey dis monin... "
...then Jim who hates being told what to do and rarely is asked kindly by Bob replies with ... "SURE SWEET PEA...can i git ya anything else?.... "
so as you see Jim was trying to be offensive in his reply because he was bitter about being told and not asked...
Reply:yes
Reply:yes, it is an affectionate term.
Reply:Yes I called my daughter that when she was a baby, its a term of endearment :)

Who did Sweet Pea belong to on Popeye?
Sweet Pea was found in a basket by Olive Oil
-edit-
Swee'Pea is a character in E.C. Segar's comic strip Thimble Theatre and in the "Popeye" cartoon series derived from it.
In the comics, Baby Swee'Pea is technically the Crown Prince of Demonia, but when his father died, his evil uncle wanted to eliminate him and gain control of the country. To save her baby, Swee'Pea's mother left him on Popeye's doorstep, knowing the trustworthy sailor would protect him. Popeye adopts and raises him as his son, or, as he puts it, "boy-kid". Initially Swee'Pea's speech consisted entirely of the sound "glop". As the years went on, Swee'Pea apparently aged enough to speak normally; however, his appearance remained that of a crawling baby.
In the animated "Popeye" cartoons produced by Max Fleischer and later by Famous Studios, Swee'Pea was portrayed as being in the care of Olive Oyl and at times Popeye, although it was unclear whether he was her or his own child.

Is sweat pea flower the same with the sweet pea flower?
I'm just confused,,, sorry..
Is sweat pea flower the same with the sweet pea flower?
I used search engines and found both the kinds you asked for- sweet pea flower and sweat pea flower. Both were used as common names for the plant Lathyrus odoratus. So one of them (sweat pea) is misspelt.
For more information on sweet pea flowers, refer link below:

where Larry A. Sagers in his article
"Sweet peas offer lots of charm, beauty"
writes
"English gardeners knew sweet peas as "the Queen of Annuals." The flowers have an air of romance in both their scent and appearance. These unique, charming annuals show vivid colors, exceptional fragrance and wonderful length of bloom."
Reply:they are the same but one of them is mis-spelled !
