Beans like navy, kidney, pinto, white northern... canned sweet peas and Boca/morningstar veggie burgers all considered "processed" foods?
And in the beans and peas, if I drain the sticky goop from the serving and soak it in water for a few minutes, will it help rid them of the sodium and sugars? Granted, not all, but at least some?
Are canned beans, canned peas and veggie burgers "processed"?
canned fruits %26amp; veggies have been packaged but not processed. processed foods are not naturally occurring in nature although they may be manufactured from natural ingredients. since there is no where on the planet where you can find a veggie burger in nature, it is a processed foods and all processed foods are man made.
Reply:Well you start with veggie patties - which are like rissoles but no meat. You mix cooked potato pieces, carrots, peas, corn, onion, sweetpotato, capsicum (whatever you like) and mix it with a little flour and egg, make patties and fry them until brown on both sides. (The patties can also be made from lentils and/or chick peas)
Then get a toasted bun, put mayo/ketchup/mustard on it.
Add cheese, pickles, lettuce, tomato and hey presto!
You can also add fried egg and other interesting things to make your own veggie burgers!
